The Greeting Committee is an indie pop band from Kansas City, Missouri.  Formed in 2014, the band is known for their catchy, melodic sound that blends elements of indie rock, pop, and alternative music.  The core members of the band include Addie Sartino (lead vocals), Brandon Yangmi (guitar), Pierce Turcotte (bass), and Austin Fraser (drums).  The band first gained attention with their debut EP, It's Not All That Bad, released in 2015.  Their single β€œHands Down” from this EP quickly became popular, helping them build a loyal fan base.  They followed up with more EPs and their debut full-length album, This Is It in 2018, which further established their reputation in the indie music scene.

The Greeting Committee's music is characterized by introspective lyrics, catchy hooks, and a blend of upbeat and emotionally resonant songs.  They have been praised for their vibrant live performances and their ability to connect with audiences on a personal level.  Over the years, they have toured extensively, opening for acts like MisterWives and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, as well as headlining their own shows.

The Greeting Committee concert was an energetic and engaging experience that reflected the band's lively and heartfelt style.  Known for their catchy melodies, thoughtful lyrics, and vibrant stage presence, they created a warm, inclusive atmosphere that felt like a celebration among friends.  The band was highly interactive with their audience, making the concert feel intimate through personal anecdotes, heartfelt speeches, and playful banter.  At one point, Sartino even jumped into the crowd to sing and dance with them.  Their performances were full of energy, with band members moving around the stage and engaging with the crowd, especially during their upbeat tracks.

While the energy was high, the band also incorporated emotional moments, particularly in songs that dealt with personal themes, allowing the audience to connect with the music on a deeper level.  The setlist included a mix of popular hits, fan favorites, and some of their new songs.  The visuals and stage design were not overly elaborate, but thoughtfully designed to complement the mood of the music.  Fans of The Greeting Committee are an enthusiastic bunch, contributing to the communal atmosphere with sing-alongs, clapping, and dancing.  Overall, the Greeting Committee concert was a vibrant, emotionally resonant experience within a welcoming and inclusive setting.  Check out their latest album Everyone’s Gone And I Know I’m The Cause.

Toledo is an indie rock/folk duo consisting of Daniel Alvarez de Toledo and Jordan Dunn-Pilz.  The band is known for their mellow, introspective sound that blends elements of indie rock, folk, and dream pop.  Both members shared vocal duties, often harmonizing to create a warm, soothing atmosphere in their music.  Daniel and Jordan grew up together in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and have been friends since childhood.  Their long-standing friendship is reflected in their music, which often touches on themes of friendship, nostalgia, and personal growth.  The duo began making music together at a young age, eventually forming Toledo and releasing their first EP Hotstuff in 2019.  Toledo's music is characterized by its gentle melodies, rich harmonies, and introspective lyrics.  Their sound could be compared to artists like Fleet Foxes, Iron & Wine, and Sufjan Stevens, with a focus on acoustic instrumentation and subtle, layered production.  The band's songs frequently explore personal themes, often with a sense of melancholy or wistfulness. Even though their music may be rather emotional, they are part time comedians when on stage.  After their debut EP, Toledo continued to release music that resonated with fans of indie and folk genres.  Some of their notable releases include the singles β€œDavid” and β€œFOMO” which showcased their ability to blend catchy melodies with deep, reflective lyrics. In 2020, they released another EP, Jockeys of Love, which further established their reputation as emerging artists in the indie music scene.  Toledo's music is well-suited for listeners who appreciate thoughtful, emotionally resonant songwriting with a laid-back, acoustic-driven sound.  Their close-knit partnership and shared musical vision have helped them create a distinctive style that continues to gain attention.
