Originally from Savannah, Georgia, Jonah Kagen made his way to Austin, Texas to perform solo on his Save My Soul tour. Though he may have been the only one on the stage, his personality was big enough to have a tight grip on the crowd's attention all night. He played an unreleased song which he has been teasing on his instagram for a few weeks now, “God Needs the Devil”. He also played two unreleased, unteased tracks titled “66” and “Chrissy”. Kagen described "66" as a more country-sounding song that he wrote in the middle-of-nowhere Arizona, but the hook definitely not middle-of-nowhere. “Chrissy" is an equally beautiful and tear-jerking song that he stated was about his mother's "story" and upbringing. Jonah also played a classic, Jason Isbell's “If We Were Vampires”, which he said was a song that inspires him greatly, especially when it comes to Isbell's song-writing style. Throughout the night he repeatedly thanked the crowd for being there, almost in a stupor of disbelief as to how far he's come. He even acknowledged an 11 year-old girl in the front row who was attending her first concert that night. To finish the night, he played a powerful solo version of his hit track, “The Roads”, which he introduced by saying “…if you're here tonight, you probably found me by searching for ‘Noah Kahan’ and misspelling his name, or by this song".
