βThe Girlβs Roomβ was an unforgettable night of empowering women artists in honor of National Womenβs History Month at Brick & Mortar in San Francisco on March 12th.
Liv Belda opened the night by recognizing the importance of Womenβs History Month and encouraged the audience to continue uplifting the women in their lives. She recently released her EP Lovesick. She had the crowd dancing along to her upbeat songs including title track βLovesick,β βTempted Eyes,β and βDark Roast.β Belda covered Rayana Jayβs βBreakfast in Bed.β To close out her set, Belda performed an unreleased song titled βSkincare,β sharing with the crowd that it would be released at midnight, the night of the show. This created an intimate moment of sharing new work, yet to be released to the world.

Next to take the stage, Jessica Samiere opened for Tyler Reese. Samiere started off by encouraging the audience and reminding them how much the matter with a heartfelt, β...Donβt give up on your dreams. Donβt give up on you, and donβt give up on the hope that was promised for you because weβre all waiting for you. We need you. We need your magic.β She then beautifully covered Daniel Caesarβs βJapanese Denim.β On that heartwarming note, Reese and her band joined the stage.

Tyler Reese had an incredible set and performed songs such as her hit βPromise.β As an intro to βCamino Muerto,β Reese introduced her co-writer Lehnen Raphael, who was βstraight from Toronto,β having just hopped off a plane today and then hopped on stage at Reeseβs invitation. Reese described βThe Girlβs Roomβ as a safe and comfortable place, like her own room. She even brought a stuffed Curious George on stage as if inviting us all to her room for a girlβs night sleepover. Reese spoke highly of women in between songs and towards the end of her set encouraged everyone in the crowd to βgo kiss a woman,β inspiring everyone to celebrate all the women in their lives.

Kelsey Kindall brought the night home with hits such as βSmokeβ from her new EP Goodbye Party. Kindall is currently in the process of releasing The Parties, an EP trio. Goodbye Party is available now and Afterparty and Pityparty will be released later this year. Kindall comes from a theatre background and loves performing, which was evident in the energy she brought on stage. Kindallβs set featured two halves: a pop star performance with a full band, followed by a Broadway-inspired moment with choreographed dancing, including backup dancers Alex Hao & Darian Gemora to songs such as βWiplash.β Kindall has an amazing stage presence and got the crowd singing along to songs from Goodbye Party, such as the β1, 2, 3!β chant in βBad Idea.β Kindall taught the fans the chorus to her single βTalkβ and was met with their enthusiastic harmonies to her catchy song. Her energy was contagious.

Overall, it was an empowering evening filled with strong performances that uplifted and celebrated women everywhere. Each performance was beautifully crafted to inspire, motivate and uplift.βThe Girlβs Roomβ was a powerful celebration of women, offering a safe space and amplifying womenβs voices and stories
