Music with feeling is what Wilderado makes. And its with a lively passion that they played for a full house Saturday night at The Regent Theater. Guitarist Tyler Wimpee kept up the energyβyou could hardly find him standing still, unless it was so the mic could capture the essential way he harmonized with lead singer and guitarist Max Rainer. Rainer asks how weβre feeling and is met with an uproar from the crowdβchants of his name, βI love youβsβ and other excited praises. βI like that kinda shit, dangβ¦β he remarks with his Oklahoma twang, silencing the packed room was while he talked. The whoops stopped and everyone grew respectfully quiet, eagerly awaiting the beautiful music that the band created. Something special was being celebrated, Wilderadoβs latest record, Talker, an EP full of heart and soul that was passionately enhanced live on stage. To close the show, everyone, including the bandβs rhythmically skilled drummer Justin Kila, gathered around a single guitar and mic to sing βRubble To Rubbleβ, a track off of their second EP Latigo. It was a heartwarming way to end the show, and a invocation to join Wilderado as they continue on their way.
